It´s an amazing idea to do your own Christmas gifts for a number of reasons. For one most of the people will think it´s fun to make it, and the one getting it will certainly appreciate the gift. Also, like this you make sure that you will be the only one giving that gift. And last but not least in the madness of Christmas expenses you make a real saving there. For those reasons and other reasons, this year we are trying some cool ideas on how to make home-made gifts. We are sharing the some of the ones we liked most. Maybe you also get excited and try them:)))
'Home-made' bookmarks.
For making those you take any ribbon from a thick fabric (like velvet) in the preferred colour. Cut it in the preferred length. Attach ribbon clamps (that are sold in hobby shops or shops specialized in sewing). Decorate the clamps with old rings, pearls, charms or earrings). Imagination sets limitations. Tips: 2-3 similar bookmarks (but not too similar) in the gift package make the it extra special:) There are some ideas in the pictures below:)
Cookies in a jar.
Giving cookies for christmas is an ok idea. But following the famous saying of 'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime', you might find a wonderful Christmas gift. You arrange all the ingredients of a special cookie receipe (at least the main dry ones:)) in a fine order to make it look exiciting from outside. Decorate the jar with a Christmasy piece of ribbon.
'Dry' cocoa gift:)
With the same principal as the last one, the ordinary gift of a tea cup can become very exciting. It´s just to include ingredients and tools you need in the cocoa making ceremony. It´s a fun idea to make your own cocoa mix and give it a name:) Like make mix cocoa, chocolate chips and vanilla sugar (or anything else that goes with warm chocolate from chili to mint). Have marshmallows, chocolates, cinnamon sticks and other 'additionals' to fill in the cup. Dress up the cup with ribbons and cards.
Good luck with the gift making,
:*
