Hairstyles We Love: Plaited hair, how to get it at home?

After last weeks post How to Get Big Hair at Home got a lot of comments and was the most viewed that week, we thought it seems like a good idea to post hairstyles and tips on how to create the look at home. We will try to make it as regular as possible.
Today´s inspiration we found in plaited hair: simple, chic, can be used for any occasion. No to bad hair days with this very hot trend now!

Love those? When a trip to the hairdressers is not an option, we are here to help you with How to get the look at home?:)

We found a tutorial on the net that shows how to create a more sophisticated plaited style that is cool both for evening and everyday looks.
We are so going to try this on (promise to post the results:)

a. Begin with combing the hair on the side and select a lock over the forehead. The hair must be dry, and you can use a mousse / spray for hold and glance. By the way this style can be applied both to straight and curly hair.

b. Begin to plait as shown in the pictures (hair is divided into 2 equal strands, a thinner one from each strand goes over the other).

c. Do not make it tight, trying to loosen it from time to time. Especially around ears: you don´t want to look bald or as on the way to milk the cows:)

d. Continue plaiting the whole right side of the hair in the same manner.

e. Carefully pick out separate thin hair strands from the plait to give it more of a careless, relaxed look.

f. Push the loops up on the plait holding the end with 2 fingers, to give the hair more volume and make it look less ´I used 10 hours on it´:)

g. Repeat all the effort on the other part.

h. The hair must look something like this before moving on to the final step.

i. At this moment, it is only to gather and pin the plaits on the back and finish it with a spray for hold. Give it a messy look by doing it randomly or a polished look by pinning the plaits into an orderly bun. You can be as creative as you want, integrating ribbons, flowers, sparkling hairjewels and all those strange things people like in their hair:)

 Voila!

Have a great weekend:)
