We arreee back!!!!! It has been a while! Well, to be more accurate it was last year we posted last:))
Anyway let us first of all congratulate with the new 2012!!! And wish you with the words of Franklin to ´be always in war with your vices, in peace with your neighbours and let each New Year find you a better person!´ Totally not-thing words but very true!
Some photos from our New Years eve in Roma from the eternal city- (sorry many pics are dark which can be blamed on the night, special illumination in Roma and the fact that we are not any special photographers.
The eve started with a visit to Vatikan where the Pope himself held the special New Year's mess. We have never been catholics, but you get this amazing big feeling from there...
Funny thing though even nuns in Roma wear Prada:) Look at the picture attentively:)
Th main streets were packed with people. Especially Via del Corso which was towered by 1,5 km lights in the colours of Italian flag.
Italian tri-colour decorating the Christmas tree in Piazza del Popolo. The 2012 found us on the hills of the piazza from where we could see all the fireworks around the city. Thanks to our great host who tipped us about it.
According to Italian tradition people break glass on the New Year´s eve. Lia was horrified to see the streets in total chaos after 12 o´clock. Friendly tips: don´t wear expensive shoes on the New Years Eve in Roma:)
p.s. More photos from Rome coming,

The rest of the evening is a private matter, so no photos from there:)
But the next morning we found the only open place on the 1st of January nearby Vatican where we lived. A beautiful restaurant called Mama. Absolutely recommended. ... And ... they have amazing chocolate cake!
Well, no more to say but once again Happy New Sweet Year Peopleeeeeeee!!!
