Cant remember how many times we have watched these sort of pictures of most amazing smokey eyes and wished we could do the same. And no way to recount how many times we have tried to get the look at home. You will probably recognize yourself in the agony of removing the the eyeshadow and putting it on again to yet again remove it.
Recently we discovered this tutorial where this super blogger Christine is telling in all details how a normal person with no whatsoever talent in makeup can create the smokey eye look. We are not totally profs yet, but not very far, no... So we are sharing it here for those interested. Thanks Christine:)
So this is what is needed:
1. Take a little amount of liquid eyeshadow and put it on the eyelid.
2. Smudge it well so that the colour will fade a little.
3. Continue smudging with up and down movements of the brush in order to get a more even coverage over the whole eyelid.
4. With another a bit thicker flat brush take some black powder eyeshadow and cover the eyelid well, trying to make an even arch.
5. After succeeding with the previous step, take yet another brush and use beige/skin colour shadow to cover the over part of the eye up to the eye-brow line.
6. Continue carefully and use the beige colour to cover the line between black and beige shadows so that it will become less obviously divided and the black will become a bit lighter.
7. Use some more of the black shadow to further smudge around the line and make it less defined.
8. It should look something like this.
9. Take a little amount of powder black shadow and draw a slight line under the eye, in the outer corner.
10. Use the eyeliner inside the lower eyelid
11. Put some silver shimmer shadow over the eyelid, especially the lower part.
12. Use the black powdered brush to give a bit of a mat finish in the very end.
13. Voila!
We'll post our own pictures after the result is satisfying enough to be a part of the post:)
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Mu & Lilo
